The team at Sightly is delighted to announce Adam Katz’s appointment as our new CEO.
Adam began working with Sightly as a member of our advisory board in 2014. In January, 2015, he joined the company full-time as Sales Development Manager, establishing the digital media activation services business in New York. He built the industry’s top media services team and drove a 10x revenue growth over the next several years, rising through the ranks to become our Chief Revenue Officer and General Manager in 2019.
In 2020, Adam propelled the company into the forefront of the real-time marketing and business intelligence software space as the visionary and architect of the company’s revolutionary Brand Mentality® platform, which empowers businesses everywhere to make the most authentic and profitable decisions dynamically, moment by moment.
By creating a unique “mentality operating system” for each brand based on its core positions, values, and affinities to analyze an ever-changing ocean of news, social, media consumption and audience data, any brand can now make intelligent decisions in real-time at the speed of the culture.
With digital media spending forecast to reach $248.72 billion in the US this year, advertisers still struggle to fully define themselves and act authentically. Several recent consumer research studies, including one by Havas Group and one by Vrity, report how a significant majority of people — especially younger generations — expect companies to walk the walk regarding social and environmental responsibility. 73% think brands must act now for the good of society and the planet and 53% are willing to pay more for brands that do.
“Our platform finally solves those issues for advertisers and their agencies by enabling them to align with and move as fast as consumers do,” Katz stated. “I’m proud and honored to take on the CEO role and take our business to new heights. I look forward to leading this company and its incredible people through the next chapter and to driving widespread adoption of our technology among brands and their agencies.”
“It has been my privilege to serve as Sightly’s chief executive,” said former CEO Ralph Mack, who stays on as Executive Chairman. “I’m incredibly proud of what our team has achieved in leading the charge to real-time marketing and intelligence through data analytics technology. I always knew Adam was a great salesperson, had strong social skills, and was very smart but most importantly for his new role, he is an incredible entrepreneur. Observing him day-to-day over the past few years, I can also say he is a dynamic leader with immense passion and vision. I am certain of his ability to continue to guide the company, cultivate our amazing culture, and drive innovation and financial growth.”
